Before I talk about the Mobil greases, first some general information about greases.

Grease is alwys the same, right? But no, that is certainly not true.

There are some general types of grease, but after a long time they will always be less than the specially made greases.

So when you need grease, look at the application and properties of the grease:

- The thickness

- The solubility in water

- The temperature resistance

- The service life in a can

- The service life in the machine

→ This is measured in EP000 to EP5, where EP2 is "average grease".

→ And does it easily wash away? Or does it "stick" well.

→ Dries in or continues it to lubricate well.

→ Yes, grease also has an expiry date.

→ How often do you have to replace the grease? In a machine this is very difficult to determine in advance.
